Bienvenidos! The start of the SY 2021/2022 is fast approaching! Our SVA Staff is ready to open our doors in an in-person environment. Registration and orientation will be from August 2-6 with the first day of classes starting on Monday, August 9, 2021.
As we all know, COVID-19 has presented us all with unique and challenging circumstances. SVA will do its best to address the CDC,NMDOH and NMPED protocols. SVA students will be required to wear their masks while in-doors. During orientation week, we will apprise all students with reentry procedures. We do encourage that all students be Covid-19 vaccinated for health and safety measures.
Registration this year has two parts: 1) ONLINE: Jupiter forms that will be done online at your convenience; 2) IN PERSON: other registration tasks that need to be done in person. Our intent is to make in-person registration quicker and more efficient. The online forms for registration are now available on Jupiter. You can log into your Jupiter account to access these forms. Detailed instructions for how to do this are on our website at southvalleyacademy.org If you have any problems with the online registration forms, we can help you complete the forms during in person registration on August 2nd and 3rd.

What to bring to In Person Part of registration: (please wear masks for the In Person registration)
- Student’s updated shot record (including proof of COVID Vaccination if received; if no proof of vaccination then student will be subjected to surveillance testing) and birth certificate (to verify legal name – doesn’t have to be US birth certificate) 6th GRADERS AND NEW STUDENTS ONLY
- 6th – 12th grades: $40 cash or check (for class fees) + any outstanding fees
- Change in contact info since last updated in May (names, phone numbers of doctor, dentist, family members, etc)
- If buying a parking permit: proof of registration, insurance, a valid driver’s license and $5.00 (SENIORS ONLY – we will sell permits to Juniors beginning August 5th).
- School provided chromebook & charger (quick inspection, confirm inventory number)
Orientation (8:55am-12:30pm)
- Wednesday, August 4th, 2021: All NEW students from school year 2021/2022 and all NEW students from school year 2020/2021
- Thursday, August 5th, 2021: All students
- Friday, August 6th, 2021: All Students
First day of school (8:55am-4pm)
- Monday, August 9th
Thursday dismissals will be 12:30
SVA is committed to ensuring that our students have access to technology. We have ordered additional computers. All SVA students will have access to an SVA Chromebook if needed. If a student does not have adequate access to high speed internet, a mobile hotspot will be provided for them. SVA advisors and social workers will work with our students to ensure their technology needs are met.

¡Bienvenidos! ¡El inicio del año escolar 2021/2022 se acerca rápidamente! Nuestro personal de SVA está listo para abrir nuestras puertas en un entorno en persona. La inscripción y la orientación serán del 2 al 6 de agosto y el primer día de clases comenzará el lunes 9 de agosto de 2021.
Como todos sabemos, COVID-19 nos ha presentado a todos circunstancias únicas y desafiantes. SVA hará todo lo posible para abordar los protocolos CDC, NMDOH y NMPED. Nuestra intención es hacer que el registro en persona sea más rápido y eficiente. Los formularios en línea para el registro ya están disponibles en Júpiter. Qué traer En Persona Parte las inscripciones: (use máscaras para las Inscripciones en Persona)
- Registro de vacunas actualizado del estudiante (incluyendo prueba de vacunación COVID si se recibió; si no hay prueba de vacunación, el estudiante será sometido a pruebas de vigilancia) y certificado de nacimiento (para verificar el nombre legal, no es necesario que sea certificado de nacimiento de EE. SOLO ESTUDIANTES del 6 y NUEVOS ESTUDIANTES
- Grados 6-12: $ 40 en efectivo o cheque (para tarifas de clase) + cualquier tarifa pendiente
- Cambio en la información de contacto desde la última actualización en mayo (nombres, números de teléfono del médico, dentista, miembros de la familia, etc.)
- Si compra un permiso de estacionamiento: comprobante de registro, seguro, una licencia de conducir válida y $ 5.00 (SOLO PARA LOS DEL GRADO 12- Venderemos permisos a los del grado 11 a partir del 5 de agosto).

SVA se compromete a garantizar que nuestros estudiantes tengan acceso a la tecnología. Hemos pedido computadoras adicionales.
