Live classes: Full instruction on Google Meet or Zoom with an SVA teacher, where students are expected to be online and engaged as they would be in a typical classroom setting.
Live classes will take place from 9:00 am to 12:35 pm on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. All students are expected to attend and be engaged during this time, unless excused by a parent. Advisory takes place each Monday from 12:00-12:35 pm. All students must attend and participate to receive credit.
Asynchronous time: Afternoon hours and Wednesdays are considered asynchronous, where students are to work on assigned tasks but are not always required to be online and active in a formal classroom setting. Teachers will hold open office hours that match the day's schedule. Some students may be required to attend office hours if requested.
Students are expected to work on school work outside of morning classes at least 1.5 hours a day, to keep up with asynchronous learning tasks. Students must complete asynchronous tasks to earn credit and are encouraged to attend office hours to receive support and additional instruction from teachers.

Advisory / Morning Meeting and Literacy Block will take place from 9:00-10:30 on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.
Class periods will take place from 10:30 am to 4:00 pm, with breaks and lunch included, on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. For Q2, class periods and labs have been combined into an 85 minute block.
The first 40 minutes of each class period is required live class time, during which the student will be online and engaged in instruction as they would be in a normal classroom setting. The second 40 minutes (after a 5 minute movement break) is a more informal lab time, during which the teacher may require students to attend for additional support or extended lessons.
Asynchronous time: Labs and Wednesdays are considered asynchronous, where students are to work on assigned tasks but are not always required to be online and active in a formal classroom setting. Some students may be required to attend lab time if requested.
