South Valley Academy is proud to announce that senior Arely Perez (SVA '22) has signed a letter of intent to play women's soccer for New Mexico Highlands University starting next year! Arely is SVA's very first student-athlete signed to play a sport at the NCAA level. NMHU has offered Arely a full four-year scholarship which will cover all expenses during her undergraduate studies.
During her time at SVA, Arely has played Albuquerque Charter School League club soccer as a Dragon, with Rio Grande High School in NMAA sanctioned matches, and with Albuquerque United Thorns FC.
Congratulations, Arely! We are so proud of the leader that you have become both on and off the field and know you will accomplish great things both in college and beyond.
