Are you passionate about combining education with community impact? Do you believe in the power of service learning to inspire and empower students? We're seeking a dynamic Service Learning Teacher to join our dedicated team!

As a Service Learning Teacher, you will:
• Develop and implement a service learning curriculum aligned with academic standards.
• Support College and Career exploration and experiences.
• Cultivate partnerships with local organizations and community members to create meaningful service projects.
• Facilitate engaging classroom discussions and reflection activities to deepen students' understanding of social issues.
• Mentor students as they plan, execute, and evaluate service projects that address real-world challenges.
• Assess student learning and growth through a combination of academic assessments and reflection activities.
• Collaborate with fellow educators to integrate service learning across disciplines and grade levels.

The Service Learning Department will work collaboratively to provide students with transformative learning experiences through college and career exploration, community involvement, community-based research, and project implementation. This program is grounded in college and career exploration, critical social justice principles, and service learning teachers should have a well-developed social justice framework that embraces anti-racist, anti-oppression values. Service Learning at SVA strives to support students in identifying and speaking back against the systems of oppression that impact them and their communities, while developing practical real-world skills and knowledge. Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree
