South Valley Academy is seeking certified teachers to work collaboratively with staff and families to develop and implement a model that works for students. Join our staff that promotes professional growth and has only four classes for High School and five for Middle School with an average of less than 30 students per class.

2018-2019: Attendance Success Coach
South Valley Academy seeks a highly-motivated and success-driven Attendance Success Coach to join our team. The ideal candidate will be someone who has a background in social work, counseling, or other related field and is committed to working closelt with students and their families to address attendance concerns. High School:

2018-2019: Full-Time or Part-Time Gifted Education Teacher
South Valley Academy, a successful public charter school in the South Valley, serving primarily first-generation college bound, low-income, Mexican immigrant students, seeks knowledgeable and certified gifted teacher for full time position. The ideal candidate will have passion for and experience with gifted students, as well as a desire to work collaboratively to serve all high achieving students.  The gifted teacher should be excited to work with general education teachers in classrooms across a variety of content areas. Responsibilities include: meeting with gifted students regularly, collaborating and co-planning with other teachers, and managing IEP caseloads, including the writing of IEPs.  Fluency in English and Spanish preferred.  South Valley Academy is an inclusive school committed to social justice. If interested, please send cover letter, educational philosophy, proof of licensure and endorsements, résumé, and references to jobs@southvalleyacademy.org.

HS & MS Substitute Teachers:
South Valley Academy seeks licensed substitute teachers for the 2018-2019 school year. Preferred applicants will be available on-call, have classroom experience, and be comfortable working with both High School and Middle School students.
