Welcome to DragonGrant!

Do you have a fun project or initiative that you’d like to implement but could use a little funding help to get it going? Will it better the community or assist others? If so, a DragonGrant might be for you!

What is a DragonGrant?

Thanks to generous support from donors, SVA is able to offer monetary grants of varying sizes to kickstart your project or initiative. Our initial funding round allows us to allocate approximately $15,000 to our DragonGrant program in 2018-2019. A grant can range from $50 to purchase pizzas for a special event to as much as $1,000 to cover buses for a class field trip.

Who is eligible to apply?

Students, staff, and parents of SVA are eligible to apply for a DragonGrant. Whether your project is big or small, we want to hear about it!

Why are we doing this?

South Valley Academy’s mission focuses on five core areas which we feel are vital to cultivating an environment for success and a shared notion of community. We are excited to be able to encourage and support projects and initiatives which align with our core values and directly support our mission.

We will accept projects which directly support these core areas of our mission:

  • Academic Excellence and Love of Learning

  • Creating Trusting, Enduring Relationships

  • Embracing and Celebrating Diversity

  • Empowering People

  • Transforming Lives and Community

Additionally, projects will be considered based on their ability to create the most meaningful impact using these criteria: need, depth, breadth, and the number of people served.

How do I apply?

So, you’ve decided that a DragonGrant is for you. What’s next?

All DragonGrant applicants are required to complete and submit a proposal form, available here.

Completed proposals should be e-mailed to dragongrant@southvalleyacademy.org.
