College Transition

South Valley Academy holds the belief that all students have a right to attend and find success in college.  So whether students have had family members attend college or not, whether they were born in this country or not and regardless of family income, South Valley Academy believes college is a real possibility for all students who enter SVA doors.  Higher education will enhance the future of each SVA student and that is why preparing students for college is part of the SVA school mission.  That is why teachers and staff expect much of students and families while we work together toward this goal. Everyone at SVA is committed to providing students significant guidance along the way.

The Director of College Transition will help all students understand the dual credit and college admissions process, provide workshops throughout the year that will structure support for transition, provide resource materials through the College Transition Office, help students and parents understand financial aid & scholarships, and communicate to parents & guardians about the college support available to students.
