Katarina Sandoval holds her B.A. in English Literature from Stanford University and her Ed.M. in Teaching and Curriculum from Harvard University School of Education. She grew up in and currently lives in the South Valley and graduated from West Mesa High School. Ms. Sandoval served as Assistant Head Teacher in 2000 and now serves as Principal. She enjoys cooking, dancing, training for her upcoming triathlon, and spending time with her three children.

Julie Radoslovich
Head Teacher 

Julie Radoslovich returned to Albuquerque, New Mexico in 2001 after a career as a Policy Analyst with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Service in Washington, D.C. Ms. Radoslovich holds a Bachelor of Arts from Stanford University and a Master of Public Administration from the Maxwell School at Syracuse University. She is a National Board Certified Teacher in English Language Arts and completed her Educational Specialist Certificate with distinction at University of New Mexico.  She grew up in Albuquerque’s South Valley and graduated from Rio Grande High School. She has three adult children and lives in the community with her husband. Ms. Radoslovich enjoys gardening, baking, playing volleyball, and bird calling.

Justin Trager
Director of Student Support

Justin Trager holds a B.A. in Political Science with a minor in Philosophy from Boston University and an M.A. in Organizational Learning and Instructional Technology from the University of New Mexico’s College of Education.  He was born in Brooklyn, NY and moved to Albuquerque at the beginning of 1999.  He joined the staff at South Valley Academy as a Service Learning Teacher in the Fall of 2002 and has been serving as an Administrator since the Fall of 2008.  He enjoys spending time with his family, biking, playing street hockey and rooting for the NY Yankees.
